Living Social: Raleigh-Durham

Living Social Raleigh-Durham has a Family Edition as well as its regular daily deals.

Today's Living Social Family Edition is from Marbles Kid Museum. For $8 (regularly $16.95) you can grab an adult ticket -- ages 12 and up -- and $7 (regularly $14.50) for a kids ticket, AND get admission to the museum and an IMAX documentary, PLUS one drink.

Marbles has a fun and very kid friendly web site you should meander over to sometime today with the kidlets! From now till September 23rd, they also have a b1g1 free way for you to save on your ticket prices. Buy one ticket, get one free to an early evening documentary at IMAX then take advantage of special savings on dinner downtown.

The other offer for Raleigh-Durham is 50% off one exterior detail and two deluxe washes at The Durham Ritz Car Wash. Drop $63 for your car -- or $75 for your truck or SUV -- and get a wash and hand dry; window, dash, console, and door cleaning; vacuuming; tire shine; wheel cleaning; and clear-coat protectant. The exterior detailing includes all that (except the door jams/panels and protectant), and adds a polishing and waxing. After those summer road trips, your car will be thanking you!

The Durham Ritz Car Wash has quite a few other ways for you to save as well -

Senior: 10% off any wash,
AAA: 10% off any wash,
UNC, DUKE, NCCU: $1.00 to $4.00 off,
Ladies' Day: $1.00 to $4.00 off - Wednesday, and
their Customer Appreciation Email Program

Deal of the Day 101

There are many Deal of the Day sites out there giving us a plethora of incredible deals to choose from on a daily basis. You may already be familiar with Living Social and Groupon. City Deals is coming your way soon too. Well actually City Deals is nationwide, allowing you to buy gift cards for thousands of retail stores, restaurants, and more anywhere in the country. But City Deals will now be bringing you "Deal of the Moments" for your favorite places in your city.

All of the daily deal sites bring you deals for everything from Acupuncture to Zen Yoga and in almost every case saving you at least 50%, sometimes more than 80%. In many cases, as a deal sells out a new one will be put up, bringing you even more savings to choose from.

It doesn't stop with you saving tons of money by buying these great deals around town either. You can also earn reward points or you and your friends can earn Deal Bucks by referring others to the programs.

Living Social Referral Program: For every person you refer to Living Social, you get $5 Deal Bucks to Spend. Once you register for Living Social you will be giving a link. When a friend uses your link, they’ll get $5 in Deal Bucks to help them buy their first deal. Once they do, you’ll get $5 as well! Click here for details.

Groupon Referral Program: Groupon also provides you with your own link. If someone joins within 72 hours after clicking your link, Groupon will notify you within 24 hours of their first purchase and automatically add $10 Groupon Bucks to your account. You can refer as many people as you like.

City Deals Member Rewards Program: Earn 2 points for every dollar you spend. Redeem points for gift cards and more. Membership is free and you will get exclusive member offers.

One of my favorite ways to save when traveling is to watch the Deals of the Day in the city I'll be visiting and buy gift cards to use during my trip. When I have a friend traveling to another city for business or fun, I watch daily deals in the cities they'll be visiting and send them the offers I know they'll love. This is a great way to help them save bunches of cash and earn some deal bucks at the same time. If you know where your family is going for summer vacation, check out the deals in that city, consider subscribing to the cities you or loved ones travel often, and you will see huge savings in your travel/business budget.
