Snowland at The Great Wolf Lodge!

The Great Wolf Lodge is one of the best little family getaways EVER so I was super excited to get an invitation from Great Wolf Lodge inviting my family and me to come up to Charlotte/Concord for a visit!  

We have stayed at the GWL in Kansas City, Kansas a few times in the summer, but haven't yet experienced Snowland!  It looks beautiful and the kids and I can't wait. 

There are so many reasons a visit to a Great Wolf Lodge makes one of the best family getaways.  For starters, the waterpark.  I love the idea of no matter what time of year it is, the family can enjoy it.  We have gone in the summer when it was too crowded and hot to enjoy the outdoor waterparks and tomorrow we will be heading up to the lodge in Charlotte/Concord to experience the park and its lovely 84 degrees while it is freezing outside.   

A couple things I really LOVE about the waterpark - it is only for the guests of the hotel.  Sweeeeet!  The park is never crazy crowded which means your time spent there is spent having fun, NOT waiting in lines.  And no matter the ages of your children, they are ALL going to have a good time!  I have four boys and their ages are split (19 and 17; 12 and 10) and keeping teens entertained while keeping little ones happy can be a bit of a tasking ordeal - but not at GWL - they have something for all ages and everyone has a blast!

And the rooms. . . A-MAZE-ING!  Forts, bunk beds, nintendo, and much more.  Visit here to check out their suites!

No matter the time of year they always have daily events going on for the kiddos.  Snowland has a few extra goodies. Now through Christmas it snows inside (I can't wait to see this :-).  Cub Club will be decorated like Santa's workshop and kids can come down and write letters to Santa, make holiday crafts.  There is a wrapping station, where the kids can wrap the presents they make.

Cub Club will also be the home of the North Pole University for Elves.  Kids can visit Cub Club during the Snowland event and pick up thier study guide for this year's North Pole University. They will learn about the animals at the North Pole, visit Rowdy the Reindeer, and practice their chimney-sliding skills. All the graduating elves earn an NPU diploma and a special gift. How adorable!
